You can't use these. You need a "void egg" period, no extra adjective, to start the quest. Sometimes people get multiple "cracked" void eggs because of glitches, but it's basically unusable for anyone who isn't in the middle of the quest already. The mission log still tells me to "retrieve" my void egg. I have no quest markers, no communications. I checked all my storage (ships/freighter/0-9 containers) and my egg is nowhere to be found.
