The M11-A1 was a cheaper to manufacture (less work differentiating it from the standard line) P229 SAS. The SAS was meld treated so the edges were smoothed out, and cost significantly cheaper than the M11-A1 was which just had the rail removed. The SAS ended up being discontinued shortly after the M11-A1 came out. It appears that Sig has discontinued all variations of the M11-a1. I guess they needed more room to build 63,000 variations of 938's. ….
