Even back then I felt $550 was even a lil salty for what you were getting. For that price it should of had a Silar Lock IMO. I got the 28" RMC's offered Green Mountain barrel that had a 1-28" twist plus an L&R Lock.

Right now I would say the best production flintlock, though it's not produced in huge numbers, is the Accusporter made by RMC. Hard to beat a green mountain barrel along with a L&R lock, all set in laminated or walnut stock. A good solid modern traditional smoke pole, a bit more pricy at $799.00 but IMO worth the extra $'s.The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. The others mentioned good roundball/conical shooters. I would recommend the RMC Accusporter flintlock (google RMC Sports and check the online catalog). I was approached about buying an ardesa 50 cal flintlock, the gun is 6/10 . I never heard of the brand but the gun does spark. The gun needs cleaned and a little tlc. I can get the rifle, all the supplies, 2 powder horns of powder, 70-80 round balls for $75.
