Testing the return line at multiple spots by hooking up a line into a container - no change in fuel rail pressure. 4. Removing the gas cap. Disconnecting the vacuum line to the regulator has no effect on the pressure. ….

95 YJ fuel pressure regulator. I recently purchased the jeep and had to replace the fuel pump and assembly, which has now caused the jeep to run bad. I have scanned and trouble shot it and have discovered the return fuel line is capped off. The feeder line ties into the end of the fuel rail, but the return is capped off.The fuel system is very basic, so if you already replaced the FPR and confirmed its working well then the only other mechanical component in the system is the pump. Everything else is either the 2 relays, (fuel pump and auto-shutdown), the pressure/feeder line, the inline fuel filter, and the return line back to the tank.

Just used water and allowed plenty of time to dry; I replaced all of the fuel lines, filler hose, vent hose, and seals; Fuel lines from local AutoZone, 3/8 and 5/16, and then 1/4 and 3/16 for vapor tubes.It is a proprietary piece of fuel line you cant buy off the shelf i used to buy them from the dealer for about $90.
