Is the Moonveil Katana still good 2023? Yeah it’s still good. I didn’t even start using it until after the patch. I switch between it and Uchigatana. Is Moonveil better than Rivers of Blood? both are good, moonveil is a little more unique. Rivers of blood is good but if you want it it’s tad a pure bleed weapon there are better bleeding ...I'm pretty sure the only thing that changed with Moonveil is that it's poise damage was slightly decreased in PvP only . Should be exactly the same in PvE. Also, a ton of weapons had poise damage nerfed in PvP, not just katanas. So, effectively, most weapons weren't really nerfed. It's a DEX/INT weapon, if you're pure DEX you probably shouldn't bother with it. If you're DEX/INT it's basically broken though. Right honestly everything ive tested thats nerfed still seems good. Hoarfrost is the most noticeable with a loss of of about 400+ damage per cast. SONAF is still good, as it should be for a weapon cast that long and a flame wave that can't even hit an enemy if you're half an inch above its head or on an incline. Moonveil is one of the best int scaling weapons in the game. Thanks. That’s what I was thinking. It’s a nice weapon to have for a mage/spell blade build. If you upgrade it and go dual katanas with any other katana the moonveil is good lots of damage and bleed build also the weapon art is pretty good.
