Apr 30, 2022 · I wish Hyundai had made the knock sensor software a recall rather than an update. If they had, dealers would not be able to sell a used Sonata until they had the recall done. In reality, the knock sensor update protects Hyundai from huge claims, as in, your car dies in the middle of an intersection and a semi kills everyone on board.
