In the end of June I had the pleasure of staying at the Hungry Trout Resort for 3 nights. It is one of the nicest fishing "lodges" I have stayed at. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and affordable....The Hungry Trout is at the base of Whiteface Mountain, secluded from the hustle of downtown Lake Placid. The rooms were lovely (brand new, actually) with authentic Adirondack furniture. Our room had a large bay window that framed Whiteface Mountain (not a bad way to wake up in the morning!)
