I choose daggers for the fast attack speed, more hits more summons. Not to mention the dagger perk can bleed. But I go with the widow trinket, mom genes, the mant, and the dagger perk. The last perk can vary from Rascal Rogue, Mithra, the Max Health or ...It's okay. I didn't really notice a big difference in poison damage to be honest. However, killing the spider is still a thing you should do because it allows you to craft its armor, and that armor will indeed increase your poison damage.
