Freightliner opti idle
I drive a Freightliner Cascadia. I usually use optimized idle because to my understanding its meant to help keep the inverter from getting overloaded as well as keep the interior at a comfortable temperature. However I will sit here for hours before it turns on, it will get up to 80 even 90 in my bunk and I start baking.I have nowhere to plug into but I do have opti idle in the truck (22 freightliner cascadia) Archived post. This opti idle trick is so simple and it will guarantee your truck does not turn off leaving you in the cold!I get about 6 hours of heat or a/c before the 8 batteries reach 12.2 or 12.1 volts. Then the engine will start and run 2 hours to recharge. So during a 10 hour break it will start one time. During a 34 hour reset it so this 3 times. Generally at during the 3 time the DPF will get full and it will do a parked Regen.Heck, the TAS and Opti-idle stuff is easy, set desired temp and go to sleep lol.
