Just added an old model 12 to my dan wesson collection and am looking for info on older models (the ones with L-shaped barrel shrouds) but haven't found much. I'm looking for old reviews, diagrams, production dates and serial numbers, etc. on the web. Is there a web site I haven't come across? DW changed their S/N's starting around 2013 (maybe earlier). There were other S/N designations over the years. I know that if the S/N starts with 13xxxxx, then the pistol was made in 2013 and if the S/N starts with 14xxxxx, then the pistol was made in 2014. Dan Wesson Specialist 45.
