Boss plow solenoid problems
I have high beam, no low beam. First year plowing snow. I have a 99 F250 Super Duty Diesel with a 8.2 straight blade. My plow lights will work on high beam only. I have red, white and blue wires from the harness to my headlights on the truck. There are 4 relays, I switched the relay that has the red/yellow wire with the blue yellow.It's an almost new BOSS RT3 straight plow with a SmartHitch2 and a hand control unit ... but I figured out and dealt with the problem. Hi guys, I have a new guy that has been plowing for several years. His Northman pump is mounted under the hood and runs from 2 toggle switches. Problem is- it won't lower. It goes up, and angles fine. Just will not lower. I can't find Northman's web page and he never had a manual with it.

Your solenoid sticking problem could be the solenoid itself or a controller / electrical problem. Unplug the plow first. To answer your question, bypassing the solenoid and applying power directly to the motor will cause the motor to run.
