Solid roller valve adjustment. Hey guys just want to know if this is normal. Just got the 496 done. Set the valves cold at 16 then after it was fully warm they tapped really loud. So I pulled the valve cover and set the 2 valves to 16. Let sit over nite. All valves are 10 cold now. So 6 thou between cold and hot. Rotate the engine clockwise 90* (as you face the engine) and adjust #8 valves. Rotate the engine another 90* clockwise ,adjust #4 valves and so on through the firing order: 18436572.
