All the Glaive heads for polearms are showing around 20 damage for swing and 30 for thrust. Other heads like the Voulge show 153. I tested in battle and the Glaive seems to be doing normal damage. Less than the Voulge but still hitting over 200 damage with speed.

All 2 handed polearms are polearms, only 2 handed weapons are axes/maces/swords. Nothing beside the 3 I mentioned are counter as 2 handed. It improves based on weapon type and 1 handed spear is a polearm as polearm is 1 or 2 handed. It's same for thrown javelins in melee, they count as polearms too. The Glaive needs serious nerfs. Sometimes I use a menavilion during sieges, it's quick enough to use on foot two handed, hits like a mack truck and I can just pull my shield if I get surrounded.
Pierce or blunt damage is needed to do real damage against heavy armour in RBM, so I generally stick with a mace and a polearm. Swingable polearms are very rare in the new update and also very expensive. They wont appear in shops unless a smithy town is prosperous. Earliest one I've been able to find is the billhook in Vlandia but the Glaive (found in Khuzait) or Menvalion from imperial towns are my favorites. #9.
Smelt all the weapons you loot and buy any pugios and throwing daggers can find to smelt them too. Then do the requests in every town. Even failing them gets you 6 times as much xp as just making the weapon.
