6 week ultrasound no heartbeat
Hi! I’m about 6 weeks pregnant (30 yo, planned pregnancy). First time mom, first time being pregnant. I requested an early ultrasound because I’ve been a bundle of nerves. The CNP I met with said the baby was measuring at 11mm (which seems high at 6 weeks) and there was definitely no heartbeat detected on the ultrasound.Another reason to get an early ultrasound would be due to the age or specific medical history of the mother. Some things that a 6 week ultrasound will reveal would be the heartbeat of the fetus, the number of present fetuses (twins or more!), the location of the ultrasound, and the shape and status of the yolk sac for the fetus. I went for an ultrasound today. According to the calculated date, I am right under 7 weeks, however, the ultrasound tech said I was measuring more like 5.4-6.5 weeks.
