Dec 4, 2023 · Bullet fit is critical when using cast bullets. With good bullet fit, 1.5" groups are possible with the 444 at 100 yards. Again plain base bullets do not do well above 1200 fps. Gas checked properly fitted and lubed bullets work very well in the 444, 45-70. I have not yet tried powder coated bullets in my rifles.
