I removed the upper steering column and found the upper trust bearing pre-load spring washer had broken apart. When you crank the engine with bleeder screw out, fuel should shoot out. A dribble is nothing. You probably have a blockage somewhere. Crack open the line from the filters at the injection pump. You should get a good gravity flow of fuel there unless your tractor has a lift pump.Jul 24, 2023. #1. Hydraulic problems with Ford 3000. No hydraulic pressure at pump and lift will only jog up and down. Have reviewed the hydraulic schematic and appears that the unload and main valve needs back pressure to operate correctly.

After I reassembled it, with all new gaskets of course, I checked the compression before adjusting the valve clearance just to make sure things were sealing properly.
