Expert Advice On Impro...I was working with my 7 year old son yesterday firing the little .22 Cricket using a box of 50 Armscor .22 ammo. After about 40 shots we had one round that was much more like a .22 Mag going off than a .22 long rifle. The bolt turn hard to open and the casing was stuck to the head of the bolt and refused to eject until I removed with my fingers.

The only experience with Armscor ammo was when we shot a few boxes of 22tcm out of my friends 1911 22tcm. The ammo shot perfect and was well packaged. The 22tcm round I believe is a necked down 9mm and was fun to shoot. We were hitting an 8 inch steel at 100 yards with ease.

They don't ignite 100% of the time in a few of my revolvers on the first strike while shooting double-action. But this many in a row signals a potentially bad batch. Finally took my IBM M1 carbine out to shoot today. Used Armscor ammo. The rifle would jam every few rounds. What is weird is that the last mag, the gun ran beautifully without any problem. I actually replaced the ejector before so I don't think it's the ejector's problem. So I am wondering if the problem is the Armscor ammo.With proper grip, I've had no problems with normal velocity ammo. Some Geco from the same period was wildly erratic, some hot rounds and some that didn't even eject the empty. Not sure if that's still true. ... Not a shooter in my .22lr CZ target rifles. Its pretty bad for consistency and grouping at 50yds from a bench. Both guns shoot 1/2 MOA groups at 50yds with the right amm, this ammo shoots closer to 1 MOA If you could find it under $3 a box and like to shoot tin cans then this is your go to ammo.Steve_O. From what I've read it's on par with other rimfire ammo.
