Port Aransas is a must visit! Port Aransas is gorgeous! The beach was so wonderful. One side, you can park for free and in fact, can pull right up to the water! The other side there is a fee but has some perks to go with it. The water temp was perfect even in April, sand as far as you can see or walk in the water. The free ferry service provided by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is the only way motorists can cross the waterway between Bolivar Peninsula and Galveston Island.
