So I have a 2017 GMC Canyon. My first ever new vehicle purchase. I plan on owning it for another 10 years. Recently did all the 5 year fluid changes myself. However, I question changing the transmission fluid and filter. It is a v6 with the 8speed. I have experienced NO issues with the transmission what so ever.Here is a GM procedure for trans flush from a technical service bulletin for 2015 8-sp. Note-The 8-sp does not have a dipstick. This was done to my 2015 truck and then a new torque converted was installed.
